We invite you to one of the biggest and most traditional dragon boat regatta in Germany, the

Now, the City-Cup is more: more races, more distances, more days, more sport and more fun!

Every crew has the chance to win a trophy and fame in its category.

Things as usual:

  • 200m races on Saturday
    It doesn’t matter if you are beginners, ambitious, a company crew or just some friends. You will be classified in different categories and have equal competitors.
  • “Beat the WannSea Dragons” Challenge the vice world champions of the club crews in crazy competitions. Be the glamourous winner and have the chance of prize money.
  • Dance all night long at the legendary dragon boat party.

What is new:

  • Crews with higher ambitions and lots of curiosity can have more of our City Cup
    • more races
    • races on Saturday AND Sunday
    • Every Crew can entry additional distances without increasing fees (limited xxxx, order of entry decide).
  • Smallboat races belong to the City Cup
  • Every city cup team can announce in his racing class without other costs for 100 m, 500 m or 1000 m, or for everybody three! (Start places limits, entrance of the announcement decides).
  • Now the Smallboat is a firm component of the City-Cup.

Every Crew receives a certificate. The first placed crews will win a trophy as well.

Entrance fee :
Adult: 2 EUR (every crew gets 25 x free entry)
Children less than 14 years: freely

Distance:100, 200, 500, 1000 meter
Procedure :A maximum of nine racing lanes will be used.
200m Mixed Dragonboat:
  • classification after first heat.
  • next races are semifinals and finals
  • min. three races for every crew
    • Prices:
  • first placed crews in every category win a trophy
  • every crew receives a participant certificate
    • Distance:Photo finish and computerized results processing will be provided at the finish tower on site.
    Boat:European standard class
    Race classes:Dragonbaot: Mixed, Women, Open
    Smallboat: Mixed
    women’s teams will start in mixed heats.
    If there are at least three entries of women’s teams there will be a separate final.
    Team size:Mixed standardboat: min. 14 paddlers, max. 14 men
    Mixed Smallboat: min. 10 paddlers max. 6 men
    Open: max. 20 paddlers
    Racing rules:The rules and competition regulations of the organizer are valid.
    Paddle/wheel:Boats and helmsmen are provided.
    After consultation experienced helmsmen can be used.
    If required drummers will be provided (minimum age of drummer 12 years)
    If required paddles will be provided.
    Entry fee:Standardboat: 300€ per crew (inclusive all distances)
    Entry an payment until 31.01.2016 discount of 75 €
    Entry and payment until 29.02.2016 discount of 50€
    + 150€ for every additional crew in a different racing class

    Smallboat: 150 € per crew (entries limited)

    Entry fee have to be paid until 10.06.2016.

    Crew captains will be informed and receive 25 registration tapes. With these you are allowed to entry the regatta area and need to be worn during the event.
